No, this is not the profs you wish you could forget, but the ones that ran the classes you loved, that stimulated you into long-term hobbies or interests. Or maybe they just had a great sense of humor and you want to sit and laugh with them again.

And yes, it would be fascinating to talk to Emmy Noether or Maria Luisa “Weecha” Crawford, but I don’t think we have any time travel experts or mediums among us. Although if I’m wrong and you do specialize in that, let me know! Let’s have dinner!!

Sadly, the only ones I can think of that I’d like to sit down with have passed away (Karen Tidmarsh) or were visiting faculty and I can’t even remember their names (that prof that provided a few friends with the “really useful” verbs in ancient Greek and Latin, such as “to penetrate from behind”). I have sooo many questions…
